What Students Learn in the AI and Power Engineering Programme
Our programmes are primarily designed for bachelor's graduates and holders of specialist degrees in engineering and the natural sciences. We also welcome applicants from other disciplines who are keen to broaden their knowledge and perspectives.
We aim to train not merely engineers but interdisciplinary professionals with in-depth knowledge of the energy sector, public-speaking, presentation and teamwork skills, and a grounding in related fields.
The curriculum can be divided into three broad areas: mathematics and programming, such as Systems Analysis and Python Programming; specialist energy subjects, such as Power Generation Technologies and Machine Learning in Energy; and transferable skills developed through courses such as History of Energy and the Research Seminar.
In today's rapidly changing world, expertise must be accompanied by flexible thinking, clear communication and the ability to present data using a range of tools. Developing across several areas is therefore an important part of the programme.
