International Education in AI and Energy Systems

Ural Federal University and Liaoning Technical University in China have signed an agreement to jointly deliver an English-taught master's programme in Artificial Intelligence in Power Engineering.

The programme will become part of a new Ural Intelligent Engineering Institute being established through the partnership between the two universities.

UrFU faculty are scheduled to travel to Liaoning in September 2025 to deliver the first lectures, with the first student intake in China planned for 2026.

The agreement is an important step towards academic mobility, international research cooperation and preparing future engineers.
