Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly common in engineering practice—not to replace people, but to extend their capabilities and help solve complex problems more efficiently.

What matters most today?

AI can already automate routine processes, including modelling, data analysis and report preparation, freeing engineers for more demanding analytical and design work.

Engineers remain responsible for technical solutions. AI is a tool that proposes alternatives, performs calculations and supplies analytical suggestions, but a person makes the final decision.

It is important to recognise that AI technologies do not possess an engineer's contextual understanding of a problem. Their strengths lie in processing large datasets and calculating scenarios, rather than independently defining an engineering concept.

Our master's programme develops the ability to combine engineering judgement with digital technologies and algorithms.

The engineer of the future will be both a technical expert and a professional capable of using digital tools thoughtfully to enhance their work.
