Cybersecurity for Energy Infrastructure

This course introduces the types of information that require protection, the classification of cyberthreats to electric power facilities, different protective measures, their operating principles and methods for choosing safeguards according to threats, risks and potential consequences.

Students study:

– fundamental principles of information security and protection of power facilities against cyberthreats;

– legal, organisational, software-based, technical and algorithmic protection methods used to assess threats and countermeasures;

– existing information-security legislation and industry standards.
