The 8th International Scientific and Technical Conference on the Development and Improved Reliability of Distribution Networks took place on 5–6 July at Moscow's World Trade Centre. It was organised by PJSC FGC Rosseti and the journal Electric Power: Transmission and Distribution, with support from the Russian Ministry of Energy.

Our lecturer Vladislav Viktorovich Popovtsev, a junior researcher at the Power Engineering Digital Twins Laboratory, participated in the poster session with a presentation on developing a switching-arc model by calculating multiphysics processes in SF₆ circuit breakers.

The conference also hosted the Electric Power Transmission and Distribution technical exhibition, where manufacturers presented new equipment and engineering solutions for distribution grids.

RTSoft Group, an industrial partner of our master's programme, also exhibited its equipment. The photograph shows Fyodor Sergeyevich Nepsha, PhD in Engineering, a leading specialist in the technical directorate of RTSoft – Smart Grid.
