Energy History Class at the Ural Energy Museum

Our master's students attended their final first-semester History of Energy class not in a lecture room but at the Ural Energy Museum.

The museum traces the history and development of the energy sector in the Urals. Museum specialist Valentina Olegovna Zhuk and our lecturer Konstantin Dmitrievich Bugrov guided students through its history and collections. Exhibits include modern power-engineering objects, household items used before homes were electrified, and documents and artefacts preserved in the museum and its archives. Students learned about milestones in the region's energy history and the people who contributed to its development. The visit concluded with an interactive session featuring electricity experiments using a Tesla sphere and a coil.
