UrFU Showcases Robotic Energy Diagnostics at PIK IT
UrFU hosted its annual PIK IT technology festival, where school and university students explore contemporary digital technologies, engineering developments and educational opportunities.
Researchers from the Power Engineering Digital Twins Research Laboratory presented their work and showed how modern engineering solutions are used to diagnose and monitor electrical equipment.
Visitors saw demonstrations of:
– a robotic dog designed for facility inspection;
– a wheeled robot for equipment diagnostics;
– examples of intelligent engineering solutions used in the laboratory's research.
Participants were particularly interested in being able to discuss the technologies directly with their developers. School and university students asked questions about the research, technologies and study options.
Such events reveal how engineering, programming and intelligent systems come together in practical projects. For some visitors, meeting the laboratory team may also have helped them consider their future study and career choices.
