Machine Learning for High-Voltage Diagnostics at a Forum
Our lecturers Alexandra Khalyasmaa and Pavel Matrenin participated in a roundtable on Information Systems and Security, and Telecommunications in Electric Power Engineering: Problems, Solutions and Drivers of Development. It formed part of the 24th International Electric Networks Exhibition and Forum in Moscow on 22–25 November.
Their presentations examined the use of machine-learning algorithms to diagnose the condition of high-voltage equipment and principles for safe machine learning at electric power facilities. Industry representatives gave positive feedback on the institute's energy digitalisation research.
The Electric Networks Forum provides a platform for grid and generation companies, equipment manufacturers, research organisations and Russian and international specialists to discuss current issues in transforming energy infrastructure.
