UrFU Researchers Discuss Science at Yekaterinburg Lyceum

Lyceum No. 110 in Yekaterinburg is holding its annual Science Days, an event dedicated to school research and contemporary scientific fields.

Alexandra Khalyasmaa, head of our educational programmes, met with upper-secondary pupils to discuss:

– how science is developing and which areas appear promising;

– why scientists and engineers need to create clear, persuasive presentations;

– the relationship between research, technologies and practical projects.

They also discussed how to organise material, how to begin preparing a presentation and how to retain the audience's attention throughout the slides.

We see meetings of this kind as part of a continuous educational pathway—from school projects to informed choices about bachelor's and master's study and, ultimately, participation in real research and engineering work.
