The First Master’s Examination Period: Courses and Projects

Interim and final assessments are an essential part of university education. The first examination may feel especially challenging because the format and expectations are unfamiliar. Questions such as 'What will happen?' and 'How much will I have to answer?' can be unsettling; later examinations may feel easier once the process becomes familiar.

The first master's examination period comprises four examinations—Power Generation Technologies, Python Programming, Systems Analysis and Project Practicum—and four pass/fail assessments: History of Energy, Discrete Mathematics, Programming and Algorithmic Foundations, and Educational Practice (Project and Technology).

Half of the examination period has now passed. Assessments combine conventional examinations with project assignments. For Power Generation Technologies, for example, students were asked to design a solar power installation for their own apartment or house, gaining new practical experience.

Submitting assignments and tests on time and paying attention to lectures and notes should leave sufficient time for examination preparation and help students complete their first session successfully.
