UrFU Celebrates Its 104th Anniversary

Congratulations on the University's 104th Anniversary!

Ural Federal University celebrates its birthday on October 19. According to the university's history, 104 years ago V. I. Lenin signed a decree establishing Ural State University. Its ceremonial opening took place on January 8, 1921, under the slogan: 'Long live the mighty and invincible alliance of science and labor!'

At that time, the university enrolled 2,501 students and employed 293 teachers and 53 professors. UrFU has since grown considerably and become an academic home for thousands of talented people.

On October 18, 2024, the UrFU Round Dance celebration took place outside the university's main building to mark the anniversary.
