UrFU Researcher Receives a Regional Academic Award

Aleksandra Ilmarovna Khalyasmaa, head of our educational programmes and the Research Laboratory for Digital Twins in Power Engineering, has received the Sverdlovsk Region Governor's Award in the Associate Professor of the Year category for Engineering Sciences. The award recognises contributions to research and education.

In addition to being a university lecturer who inspires students, Aleksandra Khalyasmaa is Director of UrFU's Artificial Intelligence Research Centre. Her work focuses on applying AI in the real economy and developing practical solutions for the energy and industrial sectors.
