Student Project on Power Line Monitoring Wins Recognition

UrFU has recognized the authors of 24 projects completed through its industry project courses in 2023.

A total of 164 teams participated, applying their knowledge to assignments from external clients under the direct supervision of university mentors. The format allows students to gain experience with real-world projects while studying.

One of the winning projects was our master's students' Monitoring of Overhead Transmission Lines Using a Decision Support System. They developed the project for an industry partner as part of their project course under the supervision of the academic program director.

The result highlights the importance of practice-oriented education and industry collaboration. We encourage students to take an active role in projects and gain direct experience in the energy sector.
