This semester, five UrFU lecturers travelled to China to teach in person on Energy for Smart Cities, the joint international master's programme run by UrFU and Taiyuan University of Technology.

Over the semester, they are delivering seven courses in total, ranging from the Internet of Things and electrical equipment diagnostics to the history of energy.

This is our team's sixth visit to Taiyuan University of Technology and the third year of cooperation under the programme.

Energy for Smart Cities is a two-year international master's programme that has been taught entirely in English since 2023. It combines engineering education, digital technologies and contemporary approaches to urban energy system development.

These visits help the programme serve not only as an educational initiative but also as a forum for international exchange on smart-city energy, digital technologies and future engineering solutions.
