Systems Analysis: Understanding the Whole System

Energy-sector problems are rarely simple. One failure, poor decision or overlooked factor can affect an entire technical system. This is why the 01.04.04 Artificial Intelligence in Electric Power Engineering programme includes systems analysis.

This online course teaches students to view complex facilities as integrated systems, rather than isolated components: to identify relationships and weaknesses, understand the causes of problems and choose a course of action.

The aim is not simply to perform calculations or run an algorithm, but to understand how the system works and what might happen when one element changes. For future AI specialists in energy, this is an essential skill: AI can support decision-making, but people must understand the systems for which those decisions are made.
