In February, representatives of PJSC Rosseti Lenenergo visited the UrFU Institute of Energy. One of Russia's oldest and largest distribution network companies, it operates 427 substations rated at 35–220 kV, 52,395 km of overhead lines and 31,772 km of cable lines, according to the figures in the publication.

Cooperation with a company of this scale creates opportunities to deploy the Institute's research outcomes nationally and provides experience and resources for further work.

During the visit, the representatives toured the Power Engineering Digital Twins Laboratory. The team demonstrated computer-vision-based electrical equipment monitoring systems and AI-enabled robotic solutions.
