Electric Power Generation Technologies
Today we introduce Power Generation Technologies, a course in our educational programme. It covers the design and operation of small-scale generating facilities, including those powered by hydrocarbon fuels and renewable energy sources.
Topics include:
– the technical and economic aspects of distributed generation;
– the characteristics of its operating modes;
– grid connection and operation within a larger power system.
The lecturer is Stanislav Andreyevich Eroshenko, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, PhD in Engineering. He has 12 years of professional experience.
Research interests:
• Renewable energy sources
• Distributed generation
• Machine learning in electric power engineering
• Electric power systems and networks
