UrFU Ranks First in RAEX 2026 Energy Subject Category

Ural Federal University ranked first in Russia in the Energy, Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering subject category of the RAEX 2026 ranking.

The university describes the result as recognition of its engineering school, which develops both traditional energy disciplines and digital technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics and intelligent solutions for power engineering.

In 2026, UrFU also placed in the top three across seven subject areas and was the only university outside the capital cities among the top five in RAEX's overall medal count.
