On 13 August, Petrozavodsk State University held a diploma ceremony for graduates of the professional retraining programme "Processing and Analysing Data for Power Engineering Applications Using Python."

The programme was developed through cooperation under the national Digital Departments project, which strengthens the digital skills of students whose primary degrees are not in information technology.

Participants completed three modules: Python programming, big-data processing and analysis, and applications of these methods to power engineering. The programme concluded with the defence of group projects.

The teaching team included UrFU Power Engineering Digital Twins Laboratory researchers Aleksandra Khalyasmaa, Andrey Bramm and Pavel Matrenin, alongside subject specialist Fyodor Nepsha.

We congratulate the graduates and look forward to developing further joint programmes for future digital energy professionals.
