UrFU Discusses Robotics and Predictive Analytics with Industry

On 18 June, a working meeting at the Sverdlovsk locomotive service depot addressed the robotisation of industrial processes, predictive analytics and the deployment of technological solutions in production areas.

Participants included representatives of UrFU, Ural State University of Railway Transport, Sinara Transport Machines, STM Service, INNOTECH, Delta Svar–Perm and other organisations.

They discussed opportunities for automating technological processes, using predictive analytics and digital diagnostic tools, and deploying contemporary engineering solutions at production sites.

Participants also visited production facilities at the Sverdlovsk depot, including the wheel workshop, routine repair shops, the electrical machinery division and other units. This allowed them to evaluate robotisation challenges in the context of actual production processes rather than theory alone.

For UrFU, such meetings support applied research, strengthen engagement with industry partners and help develop solutions that may be useful in manufacturing and transport engineering.
