Potanin Foundation Grant for an English Systems Analysis Course

Pavel V. Matrenin, a leading researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering, is among the winners of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation's grant competition for master's programme lecturers.

He will receive a grant to develop an English-language course in Systems Analysis. The course will build an integrated understanding of how systems analysis, mathematical modelling and artificial intelligence support decision-making and the design of intelligent information systems. Theory will be complemented by case studies from electric power engineering and computational assignments using modern data-processing and intelligent data-analysis tools.
