Artificial Intelligence: Making the Complex Accessible

On 20 April, Ural Federal University invites current students and graduates of bachelor's and specialist programmes at Russian universities to a free online conference, Artificial Intelligence: Making the Complex Accessible.

Experts from UrFU's institutes of physics and technology, radioelectronics and information technologies, natural sciences and mathematics, and power engineering will explain applications of AI:

– Where is AI used in everyday life?

– What are UrFU scientists developing in energy, chemistry, physics and medicine?

Stanislav Andreyevich Eroshenko, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, will present Machine Learning in Electric Power Engineering. He will discuss decarbonisation, decentralisation and digitalisation, share industrial case studies in machine learning and digital-twin technology, and address the risks of applying machine learning uncritically to real power engineering problems.
